Guide for Nigerian residents outside of Nigeria to register for the National Identity Card.

The registration process depends on the accredited agent’s platform you are using, but we will use the online payment method, see the steps below:

Step 1: Applicant visits an agent online portal to pre-enroll by downloading an NIN enrollment form

Step 2: Print, Fill-form & Submit when you come for biometrics capture.

Step 3: Make payment online.

Step 4: An online receipt is generated after payment. Save to your phone, tablet or PC or just print it out, you will need to bring the receipt when you come for biometrics and capture.

Step 5: Walk into any of the NIN registration Centres in the country you reside in (chech here to find a diaspora NIN Centre closest to you)

NOTE: Go there with a valid means of identification, your filled enrollment form & receipt of payment you got from the online payment.

Step 6: The Applicant is directed to the Enrolment Officer for proper verification

NB:

You are advised to diligently check and confirm that all information is correct and complete before the enrolment officer enters your details into the system.

Step 7: Document is scanned and returned before the Applicant’s biometrics is captured (headshot photograph, fingerprints) and applicant append his/her signature.

Step 8: You are issued a Transaction Slip and issued ON SPOT a National Identification Number (NIN).

You will be notified when your National Identity Card is available for pickup.
